Jack Daniel’s is an American whiskey from Tennessee made by the inimitable Jack Daniel’s Whisky Shop. He was born in 1866 in the small town of Lynchburg, then with a population of only 361. It was named after its founder, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel, one of thirteen siblings from a family with Welsh roots.
